1. Living a full life with Semi
| When
I took my Seichem kitten home from Rainton Gate, it was obvious Semi had
been cherished as one of the family, and was both socialised and sociable.
Now, months later, she is as curious and tenacious as any intrepid
explorer, and yet combines this with the natural affection and attention
of a good friend. She likes to know where I am and what I am doing, and
enjoys being indulged at every opportunity. She is quick to learn
and enjoys all her toys, although human interaction is clearly very
important to her.

2. About Zara (Seichim Zarathustra)
| Would you enjoy being trilled-to first thing in the morning? Do you enjoy being loved unconditionally? Can you tolerate a soft fluffy warm creature stretching out luxuriously across your knee? If you think these are some of the attributes you would enjoy in a pet then the Egyptian Mau is for you. | |
|
Possessed with intelligence, gentleness and amazing manual dexterity and athleticism. (Watch a cotton reel being boxed at a rate of knots across the floor, or a leap into the unknown followed by a back flip to catch a swaying feather.) The Egyptian Mau will afford you loyalty, generosity and close bonding. She/he also fits in well with other pets. We have a Siamese, and Zara, being younger, with a tendency to jump on him to play when he is sleeping peacefully, has bonded closely, lying next to him in the basket and involving herself in long mutual grooming sessions.
|
|
Altogether the Egyptian Mau is an extraordinarily affectionate intelligent and vocal cat, calling sweetly to you about the house and greeting you on daily encounters with a soft purrping chirrup. A delightful cat with much character to encourage and enjoy hopefully during a long and healthy lifetime

3. Counting Our Blessings

We are half brothers, Khero ,the bronze and Luqsur, the silver ( that's Cairo and Luxor spelt the coptic way) - now we live in a vicarage which makes life very exciting - lots of coming and goings; lots of people seem to come and visit us and we have to be very adaptable - some need us to sit quietly on their knee, others like to join in a real rough and tumble. | |

The best part is that we do lots of entertaining and the food is terrific. The best events are the garden barbeques when everyone wants to share their meal ! |
|
|
Now if it's a real grand-do like the Easter lamb lunch, we have 50+ people in our garden - well Luqsur and I just took up residence in the middle of a travelling rug, and helped out the people who were struggling with the very generous portions of griddled lamb. Good job we have a large garden to run around, in or we would be enormous. When we holiday in the country( we sleep through the journey,) we enjoy seeing the new sights because we go walkies on the leads, its great fun. Khero and Luqsur, Blackpool |

4. Izzy & Ozzy
| We have owned two Siamese cats, Yasmin & Sasha for the last five years, but sadly Sasha passed away just after Christmas. We were devastated as it was totally unexpected. Yasmin also took it badly, becoming more vocal than normal for the Siamese, crying at me until I would sit down to nurse her. As you can imagine this was very upsetting for the whole family, so we decided to look for a companion for her, and it was here our journey began.
We contacted Jean for advice and help. We have known Jean for quite a few years now as we have been previous customers. Jean is an incredibly knowledgeable lady, who you can plainly see is totally dedicated to our feline companions, and her reputation serves her well. At first we were contemplating another Siamese but during the conversation the Egyptian Maus became the topic. Jean explained their intelligent and loving temperament, and that they were compatible companions for Siamese. We were invited up to see Jean's precious collection of Maus. We fell in love instantly with these beautiful fascinating creatures, and decided there and then that we would have two kittens from "BB" who was expecting a litter. We had the greatest pleasure of experiencing first-hand the pregnancy, as visits were encouraged and flexible. |

The litter had arrived! Three boys and a girl. They were adorable - so tiny, so cute, so perfect. We decided that we would like to have two, a boy and a girl. Choosing the girl was no problem, however the boy was a different matter as they were all stunning young fellows. On one particular visit I was sat on the floor when one of the little men came over and plonked himself on my knee. I had been chosen - he made the decision for me. |
| Our house is alive again with the stampede of 3 x 4 feet up and down the stairs and the non-stop purring, playing and funny little chirping noises that accompany meal times. It is a joy when I open my front door and my little pack of felines comes racing to greet me.
Izzy is a delicate little thing who loves carrying her mouse with the feathers on around with her. She is also a hunter and quick at catching things, and enjoys being upside down on the activity centre. She is loving but on her terms. When she is in that mood she lies on you like a rag doll enjoying the pampering that's being given. Ozzy is a proper little fellow who struts his stuff, he definitely has attitude. However I would say he is the more loving, and likes nothing better than being rolled over to have his tummy stroked and under his chin kissed. At meal times they become vocal and weave around your legs expressing appreciation and love. We love our new additions to the family and would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to Jean for their sociable and lovable behaviour, and also for her advice and help. We wish her well. Marie & Darren |
